Abstract

The article describes a pilot project Speak Out for Support (SOS-VICS), implemented in Spain between 2012 and 2014, co-financed by the EU’s Criminal Justice Programme and partner universities. The project also supports the application of Directive 2012/29/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2012, establishing minimum standards on the rights, support and protection of victims of crime and Directive 2010/64/EU of the European Parliament and Council of 20 October 2010 on right to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings. The article aims to address the results of the project, i.e. range of scientific publications (in Spanish and English), guides and educational materials for agents (including legal and medical field), interpreters, and gender violence victims, as well as publications related to the project that were published after its completion. Moreover, it refers to an investigation which is currently carried out in Poland on the basis of the SOS-VICS project.
